- National Memorial Arboretum
Located in the heart of the country, the National Memorial Arboretum comprises 150 acres of trees and memorials devoted to the concept of Remembrance. Set within the National Forest of Staffordshire, near Lichfield, it was established in 1997, on former gravel and sand pits gifted from Lafarge Aggregates. It already contains 150 memorials of national significance.
The Arboretum is the home of the Armed Forces Memorial which was opened in October 2007. It is a striking and emotive memorial and has quickly assumed national significance. It gives recognition and thanks for those who have died whilst on duty or as a result of terrorist action since the Second World War and acknowledges the enduring sacrifice of those who mourn their loss.

- Sywell Airshow 2010
The next Sywell Airshow will be on 22nd August 2010, with a Vintage Fly-In the day before.
The Sywell Airshow is back for 2010, once again supporting the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, with several favourites from previous shows returning along with some new faces - and some old friends. We have raised several thousand for the Air Ambulance in previous years and hope to smash our own record in 2010. The theme for our 2010 show is the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain - so expect a tribute to "The Few".
In addition to the flying display there will be aircraft on static display along with military and vintage vehicles, numerous trade stands, flight simulator, fairground rides and the Sywell Aviation Museum - the Sywell Airshow is the perfect family day out!
